1. Regularly Inspect Doors of Refrigeration Unit:

The first thing that you have to do is to keep on checking the doors of the refrigeration unit. Keep in mind that misaligned doors and the one that will have worn gaskets will become a reason of gas leakage from the unit. That will automatically become reason of cool air leakage from the unit. Which might become the reason of increasing the electricity bills. So yes, it is very important to keep on checking the doors of the unit. Other than that if you notice a damaged seal, then you should opt to change it immediately.

2. Opt to Maintain the Moisture Level of the Unit:

Another factor that will affect the food storage in the single door commercial fridge is to maintain its moisture level. Keep in mind that you should try to remove the overall moisture level of food items that you are storing in your commercial fridge. But if you want to store food items for a long time, then it must have 10% or less moisture content in it. 

3. Regularly Clean the Coils of the Refrigerator:

While cleaning the unit you should know that the evaporator and the condenser coils are the most important parts that you have to clean regularly. Because when these coils will get dirty, then it will block down the airflow that will automatically decrease the efficiency of the unit.

4. Opt to Make Room for Circulation in Unit:

Other than that you have to store the items in the unit properly so that you won’t have to face the issue of blocked air circulation. Keep in mind that heat will build up in the tight spaces, so while placing the food items you have to maintain proper distance in between them. That will help you to get the proper airflow within the unit. 

5. Maintain the Internal Cooling Temperature:

Other than that you should know that you have to maintain zero degrees (0°F) temperature of your freezer. As that will help you to keep the food items fresh and hygienic. And allow you to store them for a longer time period. Other than that, some people also opt to set the temperature at -10°F to -20°F. As that will help them to store more food items quickly.
